West Wilts Round-Up: Area Qualifier

What a brilliant day it was at West Wilts, with fantastic performances across the board from both our senior and junior members.

Our mixed senior and junior team competing in the 60cm delivered an outstanding result, taking 1st place overall and another Championship Entry 🥇. Every rider in the team secured an individual placing.

Individual results in the 60cm were:

• Elsie Roberts – 1st place

• Jess Hawes – 2nd place

• Charlotte Alford – 3rd place

• Bella Wills – 6th place

A special mention must go to Elsie Roberts, who was competing for the club for the very first time. Elsie has only owned her pony Alfie since October last year, making their win even more impressive. Alfie clearly knew he’d done a good job too, showing off his excitement by rearing for the photo, his speciality!

Further up the heights, Makayla Green took on a challenging 90cm class, putting in a strong round but unfortunately having two unlucky poles for 8 faults. She then stepped up to the 100cm, finishing in an impressive 6th place, also on 8 faults. This marked Makayla’s first time competing at this height, and her bold performance nearly gave her mum heart failure — but it was a fantastic achievement and a big milestone nonetheless.

Overall, it was a hugely successful and enjoyable outing for the club. Thank you, as always, to everyone who came along to support – it really does make a difference and is very much appreciated. 💙
